Rema Beach

Stylish accommodation

Rema remains a hidden gem, unlike the Cyclades’ more frequently visited beaches. It is one of the most beautiful spots on Kimolos and undoubtedly one of its most photographed corners. The beach is small and rocky, making it difficult to access by car. But that’s hardly a drawback. From Psathaki, you can reach it after a short and relatively easy 15–20-minute walk. Alternatively, you can drive part of the way, leave your car near the main road, and walk the last 150–200 meters down to the beach.

Amenities are minimal—no facilities, beach bars, sunbeds, or umbrellas exist. Perhaps this is why most visitors stop only briefly for a photo before continuing their journey to Prassa, the island’s star beach.
And yet, Rema offers a profoundly Greek setting: turquoise waters, tiny whitewashed houses, colorful doors carved into the rocks, makeshift bridges, and sea-sculpted rock formations. At the tip of the cove stands a rock resembling an elephant—an incredible natural sculpture that adds a unique touch to the beach. The only thing that disturbs the tranquility here is the cheerful laughter of children diving repeatedly from the low or higher rocks.

Those who wisely choose to spend more time at this beach will swim in a sheltered cove with a soft sandy seabed, relax in the shade of the rocks beside the Elephant, wander over to the neighboring cove where the small port of Goupas is located, explore the surrounding rock formations, and savor the peaceful atmosphere—even in the height of August.
Enjoy a truly relaxing vacation!

Rema Beach encapsulates the essence of Kimolos: raw, unpretentious beauty and a deep connection to nature. Its calm atmosphere and stunning landscapes offer a chance to step back from the chaos of everyday life and embrace the slower rhythms of the island. Whether you’re a nature lover, an adventurer, or someone simply looking for a peaceful hideaway, Rema Beach promises an experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired by the untouched splendor of this Cycladic treasure.
